Be prepared for competitive battles to commence with this classic game. It has six different colored armies and a brown toned old style map. We oh'd and awe'd when we opened the box. Great quality pieces. Even better quality family/friend times spent playing it.

It's Risk, a classic game without doubt, BUT I was hopping for a little better inside elements, specially with the boxes of the armies, meanwhile other versions came with a plastic boxes where you could see the armies, this 60th Anniversary come with a nice designed, but at the end cheep feel cardboard boxes.Another missing for an Anniversary edition is some kind of dice case, it's pretty much just put them in a little square in the box.Finally while the map looks just gorgeous with the antique style, there is a big trouble with one sea connection between Asia and north America, it's barely visible and if you don't know the game for a previous version it can be passed by and affect the game mechanics.It's a great edition and a nice one to take to the table, but it could be better for the Anniversary.

For an anniversary set, the pieces and boxes were cheap. The 40th had metal game pieces...why not go bigger? Or at least keep the same quality? I don't regret buying it, but was disappointed with the thin cardboard.

I played Risk a long time ago. Watch you tube for the rules but you'll still need your instructions next to you as well. This is a DYNAMITE GAME FOR ADULTS. YOU TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!! Very challenging.

Risk is one of the all time greats. If you've not played before there's a lot of rules you'll need to learn. Just keep the guide close at hand as reference. You'll also need to allocate a good chunk of your day or evening. As a newbie even the set-up (before the game actually starts) takes a long time. But it's all worth it as it's such a fun time. Good for families and friends.Good price and quick delivery makes it a great recommendation.

The other game modes besides the classic can be a little confusing at first but it doesnt take long to figure out all 3 versions are in the same box easy to put away and tons of fun to play no damage to any of it even the box and to top it all off you are getting 3 games for the same price as 1
