Gift recipient likes the strategy involved and the battle method. Pieces are sturdy. Instructions easy to follow. Bought for an 11 year old, other game participants were mom and dad (40 somethings, who also enjoyed the game) and 10 year old who also likes it.

We got it for my chief strategist (age 13) for Christmas. It took us a while to figure out the ins and outs simply because the rules are a bit complex when you havent played before, but the instructions were clear enough for us to figure it all out. We will enjoy this game for a long time, I believe.

The absolute best board game it is incredibly fun for a group of people all night long it is the funnest board game I've ever played for those who played it you know exactly what I mean for anyone considering getting this game if you're competitive person it's a ton of fun

Be prepared for competitive battles to commence with this classic game. It has six different colored armies and a brown toned old style map. We oh’d and awe’d when we opened the box. Great quality pieces. Even better quality family/friend times spent playing it.
