Assembling this thing, I ran into a problem. The rod was unhooked at the top end, and even after I fished in there and reconnected it to an internal hook, I could NOT get the bottom hook attached, no matter what I tried. I am a mechanically inclined do-it-yourselfer with a complete shop. So it wasn't anything I was doing wrong. I read the instructions twice, and could not get that bottom hook attached. Finally, I attached a strong zip tie to the finger loop, and with a big pair of pliers, got it done. The scale is accurate, and I zeroed it out easily. The numbers are impossible to read, because of the angle and size, so I keep a small flashlight near to see them. The whole thing seems Chinese, frankly, and not exactly high quality. I will use it, but, although it is called a medical scale, it is not the quality of scale a doctor would have.

I was picturing something about waist height - sort of a smaller home version of the doctor's standard scale. But no, this is full size - a good 5' tall. It's a monster to be honest. That said, it sure is accurate. It's great if just one person is weighing themselves, because you can leave the weights in one position and it's easy to tell if you've gained or lost. However, with two people, you have to move the weights each time. Not a big deal, but a minor hassle. Also, this takes up space. While the footprint isn't that big (about 10 x 12), the spot you put it has to be big enough for you to stand on without touching walls, so you can't just stick it in a tiny corner. Also, heavy enough that you don't want to pull it out each time you use it. If you have space, and want accurate, this is your scale. If you are tight on space, maybe not so much.

Product exactly as described. Calibrated with ease with a quarter turn on the Balance ball screw. I would recommend using a metric ratchet for tightening the 4 pillar nuts as I found the wrench that came with the scale to be a bit awkward to use. Kicking myself as to why I didn't buy this earlier as I fought for years with a digital scale that was never consistent...

Weary of leaning to the left, the right , on, off, on, off , and seeing weight fluctuates of 10 pounds in 10 seconds, I ordered this. There is no fooling this one. It locks down your weight like a snapping turtle and your weight is the same if you step on it again.Course that may make you cry a little.

We have had one of the same brand at home for 20 years and we use it several times a week. We decided to get one for a vacation home (weight always seem to increase when we are there...hmmm). This unit was easy to put together for 2 people; it would have been more of a challenge for one, though doable. This one just seems to be made of thinner, cheaper materials. Despite that feeling, we think it is accurate.
