Mission: Founded in 1979, the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is the nation's leading organization representing people with hearing loss. The mission of HLAA is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support and advocacy.

HLAA provides assistance and resources for people with hearing loss and their families to learn how to adjust to living with hearing loss. HLAA is working to eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss and raise public awareness about the need for prevention and the importance of regular hearing screenings throughout life.

HLAA works to impact communication access, public policy, research, public awareness, and service delivery related to hearing loss.

Hearing Loss Association of America is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 2001, and deductibiltiy of donations depends on various factors.
