Mission: HSA is a local leader in educating and supporting its community. Through monthly activities and publications, it facilitates the understanding and acceptance of alternative spiritual paths and beliefs. It also produces a yearly, five day festival where attendees, in a setting provided by nature, can get "hands on" mentoring and instruction to help them, more completely, comprehend and see first hand those already facilitated actions.

Programs: Monthly, HSA produces a newsletter and gathering called Spirit Circle. The newsletter is full of articles and information to whet the appetite for learning and accepting spiritual beliefs that might not be one's own. The newsletter committee takes submissions for articles and advertising, while also maintaining a calendar of events. Spirit Circle is an informative gathering held at Aquarius, a local boutique. Each month there is a topic of discussion that can include subjects such as, the meaning and significance of an upcoming holiday or Haitian Vodou. You will hear theories and personal experiences that are sure to instigate a desire to learn more and ask questions. Yearly, HSA sponsors an open festival called the Heartland Pagan Festival. It is a family environment that is instrumental to educating people who are interested in learning about alternative ways of life and spiritual paths. It is an all-inclusive event to help overcome the exclusive divisions that can occur in today's "society".
