Mission: To provide unique employment for adults who have intellectual/developmental disabilities within local business commuities.

Results: Heartstrings owns and operates businesses that employ adults with developmental disabilities. Employees with developmental disabilities are paid a salary based on their level of mastery of skills and sales commissions. The businesses include; Goody Delivery, Sacks On Santa Fe - Fine Clothing and Accessories, Gift Baskets, Dog Biscuits and Cleaning Crews and "Heartfully Made" artistic crafts made to order.

Target demographics: adults who have intellectual/developmental disabilities have interactive employment in the community.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Fifty Heartstrings employees work in jobs that are interactive with the general public, through HCF businesses and contracts with other employers.

Geographic areas served: Kansas City Metro Area

Programs: Supported employment in the community, volunteer opportunities and engagement in the community.
