Mission: Helpers To Good Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonreligious entity located in College Park, Md that addresses the immediate and ongoing needs of the local and surrounding communities with food security, which includes providing cooked meals and nonperishable food items from our food pantry that has been donated by the community. The cooked meals are also provided by the community as well as local restaurants and they are delivered directly by our volunteers to those in need which includes but is not limited to local residences and homeless individuals and shelters. We partner with local and national organizations that are on the frontlines assisting others in need during these unprecedented times. Our volunteers also run errands such as delivering medication, grocery pick up, medical appointments for those who are incapacitated and or without transportation. We provide gently used donated clothing and new winter gear for the homeless and offer over the phone health wellness checks. Helpers To Good Inc. hosts annual meet and greet neighborhood events along with our local first responders and medical clinic employees to maintain inclusive relationships and reassure the neighbors that we are close and our aim is to assist those in need during times of hardship and ease.
Results: Total pounds of perishable & non-perishable food provided estimated: 33 tons Backpack/School supplies kits: 1,500Hot meals served: 10,000+Winter gear provided to the homeless in Washington, DC and Baltimore: 300 packages ( Socks, hat, facemask, gloves)
