Mission: Henrico CASA advocates in court for a child's best interests and seeks to educate the community concerning the needs of children who have experiences abuse and/or neglect.

Results: Henrico CASA has served over 3650 children since our inception. Last year, our volunteers invested 10,882 hours in supporting 385 children and their families. During this time, 100% of children received appropriate treatment and remedial services and no child re-experiences abuse/neglect while assigned an advocate.

Target demographics: Children and families involved in the child welfare system

Direct beneficiaries per year: 365 children and their families through support provided by 116 volunteers

Geographic areas served: Henrico County, Virginia

Programs: Henrico CASA recruits, screens, trains, and supervises highly qualified volunteers to advocate in court for children who have experienced potential abuse and/or neglect.
