Mission: The mission of the hepatitis b foundation is to find a cure for hepatitis b and improve the lives of those affected worldwide through research, education and patient advocacy.

Target demographics: People with hepatitis B, their family and friends, and the entire community.

Geographic areas served: All parts of the country

Programs: Research - fund scientific research to find a cure for hepatitis b; coordinate the annual international hbv meeting; provide training opportunities and internships for young scientists; and host single topic research workshops.

outreach patient support - maintain the primary online portal of information about hepatitis b at www. Hepb. Org; provide free information and referral services through email, telephone, mail and social media outlets; and publish free print and electronic newsletters and educational materials.

public health education - create comprehensive disease education campaigns in the united states and china; create and manage local and national hepatitis b coalitions; conduct public health research to improve hepatitis b screening and referral to care efforts; publish results in peer reviewed journals to share promising best practices and lessons learned; and educate local and national policymakers to make hepatitis b a public health priority.
