Does not fit like the dust catcher attachment for my Dewalt sander... Seems like a tighter fit but doesn't stay in place well

This connector works great, but if your vac has 1 7/8 hose you need the UNIVERSAL PS08-2517 kit to make it work.

The end of the DWV9000 that connects to the tools works like a charm with all of my 20V MAX tools. However it was purchased specifically to fit on my 1-1/4 shop vac hose, which according to the description, item packaging, and instructions with the adapter is exactly the size it is designed for. However the end of the adapter that should attach to the shop vac hose is roughly 1-3/4 wide and there is no way to it will attach without another adapter or MacGyver method of connecting it to the hose.

I was disappointed that I had to buy it all. My older DeWalt random orbital finally gave it up and that too was a disappointment; that sander might have been the greatest power tool I have ever owned and used in my 40 year as a contractor. That one used a slip on hose fitting that that came with it and I was able to use adapters I already had to connect to the vacuum. I never had an issue with it disconnecting and coming loose. This adapter is very positive and due to its twist lock fitting will never come loose, however I had to take a spare vacuum hose and permanently dedicate to the use with this adapter/sander. So that is one extra hose/piece/tool that serves only one task and one tool that I have to include with my already large tool stash. I came dangerously close to duct taping the hose to the sander. It works great, I took a star off just because.

Great, easy to dock

Snapped right on the drywall sander and a random orbit sander . For the price of the drywall sander it should have come with it but I had to buy separately ,but that would be a different complaint.

I have a Ridgid 12 gallon and fit perfectly on the accessory hose that came with car cleaning kit. You'll need to remove the end piece then put it in the DeWalt. Basically unscrew the hose and screw it into the DeWalt threaded the same.
