I also have the orange Ridgid hose. Screws on perfectly and stays. However the tool end fits but will not lock on my DCW210 ROS. It looks like the lock bearings on the dust bag and the DWV9000 seat differently when locked. The DWV9000 protrude further. Weird

If I had known about this sooner I would stop kicking myself. This attaches by cutting off the glued on nozzle on my shop vacuum. I carefully cut it on my power mitre saw to get the straightest cut. I then used the exposed thread inherent in the vacuum hose to simply screw on this to the hose.The other end fits my DeWalt tools perfectly and this (hose end) locks on with a twist . I was using duck tape and now I don't have to :-)I am totally happy

On February 5, 2022, the day I received the connector, I slipped it on my new DCW210D1 and tried to lock it on. It wouldn't. I thought the Black and Decker guy, who speaks with such certainty, is blowing smoke. So I measured things and discovered the tool receiver wasn't inserting far enough into the adaptor. There was no appearent reason so I pushed more than a little harder and shazam, everything fit together. The other end accepts a 1 1/2 OD hose screwed into it counter clockwise. Since my vacuum has a 2 1/2 hose I needed one more adaptor. I cobbled it together with stuff I had laying around. So now, no more dust when I sand. The moral of this story is, be sure before you give up or modify something that doesn't need it.

Fits DeWalt DWE7485 table saw upper connection on blade guard, as expected. Surprisingly, also fits Craftsman CMEW231 orbital sander. Used a 1-1/4 spa hose with left hand twist on the dust collector end. Works great. High quality fitting.

Very happy with this purchase. Was the right part to connect the dust chute on my Dewalt orbital sander to a 10' Ridgid shopvac hose. I can now sand inside, game changer.

It is extremely hard to fit the hose inside.

I needed this to connect my sander to a shopvac. The DeWalt uses a proprietary hose attachment and this product works as expected. DeWalt has the proprietary connector appears to ensure a positive connection to the tool, but they manage to get another sale after the sale. This should be included in the packaging. Come on, DeWalt, don't be so petty on upsales!

Adapter arrived and it did connect my vacuum together. Instructions suggested to cut the vacuum hose. Instead, I went to HD and bought a 1 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inch Flexible coupler in the Plumbing aisle. See photo. It connects perfectly to my Dewalt orbital sander now.

This adapter does not directly attach to a 1 1/4 OD vacuum hose.I purchased a 10 ft hose kit (ASIN B09MG1BM1D) to accompany this adapter and I was able to mate the hose and DWV9000 by using the medium slip-fit hose adapter that was included in the hose kit between the DWV9000 and the vacuum hose. It is a very tight fit and I doubt it'll fall out anytime soon. The hose can then be screwed into the hose adapter. This method doesn't add a lot of bulk/weight to the overall connection.

I have the Dewalt DXV10SA vac, which came with the 1-7/8 in Durable Hose DXVA19-2500. Bought this and a few other stupidly overpriced adapters so I could avoid breathing dust, and this dang thing won't fit on the hose! Even worse, I am having one helluva time trying to find another adapter to adapt to this adapter!!! What a cluster!

Bought this for use with my 20v DeWALT vacuum. Twisted the default connector off, cleaned off some glue, and twisted this on. The attachments that came with the vacuum plug into this quick connecter as well.

I found the vacuum hose for the Rigid car detailing kit works perfectly.

This adapter works exactly as intended. I just unscrewed the factory nozzle from my DCV581H cordless vacuum and screwed this one on. It perfectly locks into the dust extraction port on my DCW210, DCS571 DCS565. Keeps the tool connected to the hose while letting it still swivel. I can't say if it works with other tool brands, but Dewalt to Dewalt it's perfect. The wide nozzle and crevice attachments that come with the vacuum also lock into this adapter.

To ease frustration, the small end of this fitting screws on to a 1-1/4 wet/dry vac hose (with or without a hose end on it). It does not slide on to a hose end.

Bit stiff and bulky since you need the other adapter as well but it works

I bought this adapter for a DeWalt sander. Advertised as a Universal DeWalt to 1 and 1/4 adapter, but the outlet on this part is 1 and 7/8!!! Nothing else in my shop runs on/or uses a 1 and 1 7/8 connection. Don't have time to screw around with returns, so I had to order another adapter part to make this adapter work. Completely wrong part description, as already noted by other reviewers, that nobody seems to care enough to correct/fix. Thanks Jeff. Hope you enjoyed your space trip.
