Mission: The foundation is dedicated to showing that home builders care about the community by awarding scholarships to local students interested in the construction trades and working on projects that support housing in the area.

Programs: Home builders care of fargo-moorhead foundation supports workforce development of the home building industry by providing scholarships to students interested in pursuing a career in the industry. The foundation also supports projects related to housing in the community through donations. In its history, the foundation has awarded scholarships to over 250 students and has donated more than $380,000.The foundation partners with a local college to offer the herdina academy for the construction trades which is a two-week program for high school students to work directly with members of the industry to receive classroom education and hands-on training on many facets of the home building industry. Students earn college credits for completing this program.
