For the last 2 years I've had a problem with a zone control valve sticking open. I'd come home after work or wake up in the morning to a house that's 80 degrees. I used to just give the old valve a little tap to free it until that no longer worked. I thought I was going to have to replace the whole unit which would involve more work than I wanted to do, hence the 2 years of just dealing with it.... I began my internet research as we all probably do with the model number of the valve assembly and ended up on some very useful forums that discussed these motors going bad. The people described their problems and they were exactly what I was experiencing. I was happy to find out that the fix was just an easy motor swap. (Also I was annoyed that I waited 2 years to fix it) The motor was new and arrived quickly. The repair involved a screwdriver and a wire cutter/stripper to splice 2 wires with the provided wire nuts and took about 5 minutes..... I really should have done this a long time ago....smh...
