Maybe it's me but I had difficulty programming, not the easiest process. Works well manually.

This is really easy to program and you can be sure your lights will be on when you come home in the dark. And will shut off when you program it for daylight. Only drawback is that it's not backlit.

I called their support team, this model does NOT have a white background display like the pic. It comes with a dark grey, calculator looking background. It's not a big deal, but why I gave it 4 stars. It works great and very easy to install and program.

It took a little time to get used to the program function and the white day and hour button would get stuck in the plastic face cover. This meant that we had to pick them out of the housing after each click. Besides that, it runs well and, for the cost, I don't care that the buttons took a few extra minutes to use because I don't see a need to use them in the future, except twice per year for daylight savings adjustments.

I really like it. Easy to program. However, seriously, who decided to open the door from bottom up? If it's mounted at the normal height of a switch, you have to crouch down to see underneath the door to program.

Great for outdoor patio or front door lights. An experienced DIYer can install. Very difficult to program due to ehhh instructions. Will allow you to set bu sunrise and sunset via lat/long coordinates

They already built the timer logic and like 7 programs. Why can't they also add an internal calendar to automatically adjust for daylight savings? Only gripe is twice a year I have to go around the house and reset the time on each of the 4 that I own. Otherwise, they work great.

I like how the timer functions just wished that the screen had a light. Difficult to see.

I installed this at my vacation home. I love the backup battery feature that allows the switch to operate even after a power outage. My electrician installed it quite quickly and it is was quite simple to operate and setup. great buy

This is a good unit, this is my second one. It's easy to install and timer functions are easy to setup. The only problem is that unit doesn't have a display light, which make it hard to read the unit display setting.

I really like the timer. I use it to power on an outlet that powers a heating tape in my gutters to keep them from icing over. When it is cold, but sunny, I turn on the program and then it runs with it on 2 hours, off 2 hours, all day and then shuts it off overnight. Works great. Was super easy to install and program. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a backlight or other LED to indicate when the switch is on. The switch is in my garage, so the lighting isn't great and it is really hard to see which mode it is in or if the outlet is currently energized because I can't really read the screen. I have a different honeywell switch that controls the outside lights right next to it and it has a backlight and led to indicate when the switch is on. It is so much easier to see at a distance what is happening. I took off a star for that, but other than that, it is great so far. It was one of the few programmable switches I could find that is rated to handle a 20 amp circuit.

Easy to install. It requires a neutral (white) wire to charge the internal battery. Other than that, it connects like a common on-off light switch, again with the exception of the line (black) and load (blue) wires are not interchangeable - once again due to the device needing line voltage and return line (neutral) to charge. My only gripe is the display is teeny weeny and very dimly lite. I have to use a flashlight to program the device. The manual on/off is handy and the high amperage rating is very hard to find but needed on a 20 amp circuit as those found and required in kitchens and baths.

Inexpensive, easy to install and functional, but a bit cumbersome to program.

I use this timer for my decorative garage sconces, it took a few minutes to get the hang of programming it, I do like the manual mode because you can use it to bypass the timer when you don't want it to come on and it doesn't use batteries for the memory. I'll probably purchase another for the porch light.

Installed to control my porch light. Works very well. Instructions were good, but color coding of wiring wasn't as described. After initial installation had to switch two wires to get it to work. Nice thing is that it will control incandescent, CFL and LED bulbs. Some will only take incandescent bulbs.

The instructions need to be rewritten. To set the timer to operate the instructions are missing the final step. I had to call customer support and they had to troubleshoot for me.

I uses this to control a bathroom fan that has an annoyingly bright LED in it. I turn off the fan at night and back on in the morning. The timer function is easy enough to program, and so far has worked well. The downside is that the main push button switch that's used to control it manually has a very flimsy feel to it. Not satisfying. Luckily I use that switch only rarely.
