Using it to switch polarity to open and close a chicken coop door.

Programming this is a little awkward (save the instructions, you'll never remember how to do it otherwise) but otherwise it is exactly what I wanted. I bought it so that I could set the whole-house fan in my new-construction home to run mostly at night during the summer and mostly during the day in winter to avoid pulling in excessive hot/cold air respectively -- the builder had just installed a simple on/off switch with instructions to leave it on 24/7, which hasn't really been necessary from an air quality point of view. Installation is pretty much the same as any other switch, only basic electrical skills required.

This little timer with multiple program settings is a great product. It fits perfectly in an existing light switch box and has been operating for over a year now with no problems at all. It has a digital display that shows the current time when it clicks on, there is a little blue light visible to let you know it is on.

Easy install.

Bought two. Both worked great for six months...now, after 8-25 minutes of use one trips the circuit breaker. I'm thinking it's overheating. The one I bought to control the lights in the front yard is still working great. Wish I could return the switch for the back yard lights as it's obviously defective. I've hooked up a regular wall switch and the lights work properly and the breaker doesn't trip. Am advised the last return date was January 31st. Pity. Not much value for the price.Update: After panning this switch in my original review I subsequently discovered that the problem with the item was the installer (me), and not the switch. I've corrected the issue and now wish to report that both switches are working perfectly. I would like to say that I now highly recommend the switch. I apologize for my initial poor rating.

Easy to install.Not so to program if you have large fingers. Got it programmed with wife's help. Works well on outside house lights.

Simple install if your comfortable with basic electrical. Works well doing exactly what I was looking to do, Turn on and off our outdoor light automatically.

I love this light timer. I would always turn on the outside lights fir safety reasons but forget to turn them off before i went to bed. Now I don't worry they are on auto.At first it was tricky to program but got it right after just a couple of tries.

I used this time after trying a cheap mechanical timer that was a complete waste of time.This unit is way easier to program than I thought it would be. I only used the manual to confirm how things should be after I programmed it by guessing. I'm a bit of a cheapskate, but now know it's well worth the money.

I use this for my 15000 btu Air conditioner for years it works perfect and very simple to pogram

Easy to install, but hard to read. Programming was simple, read the directions first!
