It has a compact, double threaded body and a 5/8 cast iron valve outlet that comes pre-installed for added convenience. The 1/2 SERVICE CHECK Valve is interchangeable with most competitive products making it a great addition to any heating and cooling system. 2-Hole Honeywell Service Check Valves for 1/2 inch copper or plastic water pipe or tubing. With multiple styles of check valves for copper, cast iron and PVC, you can be sure to find a fit for any of your installations regardless of the material of choice! This service check valve assembly provides a convenient way to isolate and shut off the flow of process fluid in gas, chemical or power systems without shutting down equipment. The lightweight 1/2 Service Check Valve features an N flange for mounting to the valve, and an internal diaphragm for holding closed against process flow pressure. - The Honeywell 1/2 Service Check Valve is designed to prevent water flow back to the main water supply line when more than one faucet is on at the same time. This valve is used for model locations where only a single supply pipe is available serving multiple fixtures. The product also features a flow rate of 1-1/2 GPM and an integral check valve to prevent reverse flow and leaks - The SCV-050 1/2 Service Check Valve allows for easy, safe isolation of your water supply or hydronic system. The valve is intended to be installed inline with an existing line, providing a quick and easy way to test for leaks. Tank heaters and electric water heaters contain a water tank, which holds hot water at the desired temperature behind an electric thermostat. When the power is cut to the heating unit, either by normal shutdown, failure or power outage, water in the tank cools down. When this happens, it takes some time for the thermostat to detect this change and turn on once again. This process is known as recovery time. As a result of longer recovery time, additional energy may be consumed unnecessarily.
