The thermostat was easy to install and is superior to the one that came w/ my camper. Good back light and fairly accurate.

Have two of these thermostats in my home for the past 15 years. One failed recently but the other continues to work fine. Easy to install and easy to set.

This was a replacement for the mechanical thermostat that came with our RV heater. The original was impossible to adjust and always felt like the plastic levers were ready to break. Very easy to install. Just unhook the two wires from the original and use a small wire nut to connect the honeywell. 15 minute job and my wife loves the simplicity and easy read backlit display.

I have a Colonial House (as a stranger in a very small town) that had the old Dial-round heat control; these were installed when I had the Boiler System upgraded. The house is brick, no A/C... it gets quite humid inside. After 2 years the Lighted Panel lost the definition of the numbers. At 3 years I can not read the panel at all, the panel does light up. I've put off contacting the local Plumbers, avoiding extra expense during this uncertain economic situation we're all in. I decided to search the Internet for information on how to remove the panel to inspect the lighted panel and remove corrosion, and/or moisture, in hope of restoring the ability to see the digital numbers...I didn't find the information I was searching for but did find diagrams that assured me I wouldn't be pulling wires out of the wall by trying to pull off the Thermostat face panel - Voila!Different than I anticipated, the entire Thermostat snaps on/off! To my surprise, there are (2) AAA-BATTERIES... explains why the Thermostats have lost the ability to display the numeral digits. Admittedly the intimidation of that expected cost to have the installers 'fix' these things have kept me from seeking to repair or replace... and I wasn't informed as to how they work in so far as needing to replace the batteries and such.I now know that I can purchase replacements, easily replace the old with the new myself because, after the initial installment by an Electrician, the replacement is no more than computer components - 3 Male Prongs to a Female socket. My presumptions and concerns that moisture from high humidity was responsible for the Digital Display Window are proven incorrect! The replacement of the batteries in both units has restored the Digital Display and there is no trace of moisture damage within the Thermostat, the circuit board is dry and no corrosion on the batteries. The Honeywell TH1100DV1000/U Pro 1000 Vertical Non-Programmable Thermostat units fit tight enough to the surface mount to secure the innards from external elements. And since I wasn't told (and am unfamiliar with...) about the need for replacement of batteries in these units, it turns out that the longevity of the batteries before Digital Display issues arose was approx 2 years. Well Done Honeywell

This is very simple to use: just a heat on/off switch, plus temperature adjustment buttons, nothing else to confuse people. It works from a battery, or better yet, from wired power provided by system. Quite accurate.
