Our original thermostats were both placed in poorly chosen locations. The upstairs one is very near an outside wall and a window, and it's at the top of the stairs. In summer it gets overheated from morning sun and in winter it gets overheated from the downstairs heat rising to the top of the stairs.This means the upstairs bedrooms were staying too cold year round.I prefer to not have my home devices connected to the internet, so the Redlink system made sense.Installed with indoor remote sensors and one outdoor remote sensor.Geothermal systems.Stages:Downstairs - 3 heat / 2 coolingUpstairs - 2/2Adding the remote sensors was as easy as can be and the range is more than adequate.

First off. Let me state I was initially a Sensi Emerson dirty birdyTechnicians READ THE MANUAL ON THIS GUY. Also check out their online portal. This is a game changer for a thermostat that is pretty well in circulation.I never really looked into how complex this thermostat was and it's capabilities and functions. Mostly due to Honeywell's poor marketing department but Jesus Christ this thermostat is a hidden gem.Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 just because Honeywell marketing department let me down but the online support guys are top notch

My age and physical condition precluded me from installing this unit. I had to pay $125 for a home heating repairman to install. If I were younger, I would have installed it myself.

Although this can be DIY you would do well to use a HVAC installer. Programming was straightforward but pay close attention to the instructions. Once up and running the unit works flawlessly.

The touchpad on the old thermostat was not working correctly. You had use an offset touch for everything. We had tried a different newer model thermostat but it didn't seem to work correctly. Made the decision to replace thermostat with the exact same model, what could go wrong? The one saving grace was having the old model around to manually input the equipment installer options. Did that and everything worked fine immediately!

Not easy to install, I didn't understand the instructions so I had to wait for an a/c tech who could have installed it blindfolded. But once it was installed it worked like a charm, I was very happy with its performance.

Replaced my existing, same model, T-Stat with this Honeywell TH8320R1003 VisionPro 8000 with RedLINK Digital Thermostat. Followed the propts in the Intsaller Menu and easily linked it to a remote sensor.

The item was as expected and arrived in a timely manner, though it would have been nicer to have gotten it in a day as it is the main control for the HVAC Unit that was unusable until the part arrived.

Ive been doing hvac for 10 years. These are the best stats ever. With HONEYWELL'S redlink (hw bluetooth) there are endless accessories you can hook up with simple directions. I have one in my house and would never use anything else
