Programs: Hope house of mcalester is a private nonprofit, faith-based homeless shelter for women and women with children. Hope house provides safe shelter, food, transportation and in-house groups focusing on improving self-esteem and employment skills. Women staying at hope house will receive individual case management to develop a plan for their personal and professional goals; then staff provides weekly follow-up to ensure progress. Hope house of mcalester is a unique program that provides support and guidance to women and families who are looking to implement positive change in their lives, such as sobriety, gaining employment or housing. It focuses on accountability, empowerment and christs love.
