For the self-taping screws you better use a smaller size drill bit other wise it’ll take way too long to make a hole with the self taping. The screws are very good quality but the metal in the vehicle is very hard.

I replaced the factory hookup because it wasn't working right. This is a direct fit and easy to install on mounting plate.

Fortunately I found a really good write up online installing one of these on a Ford Expedition. It made the installation simple. There was one color wire I had left over from this plug that didn't match anything in the wiring harness for the expedition. At the moment I cannot recall what color it was or what it was for. I basically zip tied it short and wrapped it up with electrical tape to keep it out of the way. There's been no issues towing my wife's horse trailer the few times we've done it so far.

I have had these on 2 other vehicles and the only issue I have had was a car wash ripping one of the covers off (not the products fault).

Good product. Clean install on my 05 Chevy 2500 with the Curt XD Hitch. Please note you have to cut the plastic on the bumper for a flush install. Looks factory. Plugs right in to factory harness. Hopefully finish on the bracket lasts, but the plug body itself looks quality. 1 for including self tapping bolts.

It fits perfectly for Chevrolet Silverado 1/2 ton. 2017 and both plugs work no other plug needed
