Mission: The mission of this corporation is to offer comfort and dignity to patients and families through comprehensive support and medical care at the end of life. In carrying out its purpose, the corporation shall: express reverence for human life, not by prolonging the terminal illness of the patients, but by assisting them to live fully, to preserve mental alertness, and to experience the support of family and a caring community. The significant activities include both hospice and palliative care services and facilities.

Programs: Provided 165,097 hospice routine visits. Hospice of chattanooga is the only area hospice that employs eight highly trained physicians, 175 registered nurses, nurse practicioners, and certified nursing assistants whose job it is to take care of patients. Hospice offers bereavement services to family members of their patients and others. Hospice of chattanooga provides care through a team approach. Care is provided in 18 counties in the tennessee and north georgia area, including care in the patient's home, in acute and extended care facilities, and assisted living homes.
