Mission: House Rabbit Society is an international volunteer-based, non-profit organization that rescues rabbits and educates the public on rabbit care.

Results: House Rabbit Society has rescued over 20,000 rabbits, has educated many thousands of people through our website, classes, outreach events, and literature, and has changed the world’s understanding of rabbits as pets. In 2000, we opened this country’s first public rabbit-only shelter in Richmond, California, and in 1997, we held the first ever rabbit-only veterinary conference.
