OverviewI realized these were a must-have the first time I first took my new Jeep down some muddy trails and then spent an hour cleaning the doors and sides of the Jeep. While they don't look silly, they are a bit bulkier than the photos would show, and stick out about an inch wider than the factory fenders (see photo) and didn't interfere with the rock sliders.InstallationThe installation is relatively simple (20 minutes for the first one and 5 minutes for the second one), but not exactly what the instructions show. Anyone who is even somewhat handy will be able to improvise a bit and figure it out. The instructions mention a drill and drill bit for one of the screws but just a thin pointy punch or pick will substitute just fine. I strongly recommend using needle-nose pliers to hold the more difficult to hold J-Nut up inside the fender while installing the screw.Note:These mud guards are definitely just for off-road trail riding and NOT for rock-crawling. They would get ripped right off the fender going over the first obstacle.
