The product description on the website clearly says this is NON-TOXIC TO HUMANS, BUT the back side of the package with all the cautionary statements is NOT SHOWN. When we opened the package, we saw on the package back that it clearly states HAZARD TO HUMANS: AVOID BREATHING DUST. CAUSES MODERATE EYE IRRITATION. AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES OR CLOTHING. WASH THOROUGHLY WITH SOAP AND WATER AFTER HANDLING AND BEFORE EATING, DRINKING, CHEWING GUM, USING TOBACCO OR USING THE TOILET. So, which is the REAL story? This is a LIVE bacteria and they are tell you NOT to get it inside of you by having it on your hands or clothes and then eating or drinking or even going to the bathroom. If you have ever had a bacterial infection (Lyme disease is one of them), you will know that they can be extremely hard to get rid of. We tried to get a refund on this due to INACCURATE WEB DESCRIPTION, but it was a non-returnable item. So we sealed it in a plastic bag and threw it in the trash. We've attached photos of the package back, because we think people should see this prior to purchasing.

I have a medium-size human-made pond with my two 25 y/o red ear turtles in approx 200 L of water. I used to find hundreds of mosquito larvae, but not anymore. This product works. So far so good. I placed half the product the first time inside a plastic bottle with holes so the product mixed with the water but my turtles didn't bite or eat them. Second time I used a quarter of the donut and it works fine, too. I like this product.

Had a severe Fungus Nat problem and used this to water the indoor pots. For this to be affective you must use a sticky fly paper to grab the flying adults as this cannot interact with the flying insects, just the larvae in soil.I found this a bit easier to use than mosquito bits as I am not sure whether the bacteria is disovoled in water.Had collected rain water and got the mosquito squiggly larvae in it . Added mosquito bits or this and they were gone. Next time I add them to the standing water and no larvae at all

These really work! I use these in my large bird bath in Hawaii. I was having issues with mosquitos laying large and this stopped it. Safe for the birds.

I like to break these up and mix them with coco coir/perlite for fungus gnat control through out my grow. I add one half dunk broken up to each 3 or 5 gallon pot of coco or soil. If you purchase these to fight an infestation, I find they take about 3 weeks to reduce the population down to where they are insignificant. If the grow is already started, try adding the dunks to your nutrient solution or water a day or two before you feed. You can also top dress an existing plant by breaking up the dunk and scratching it into the top inch or two of soil. Overall, these are probably the best and cheapest solution, although not the fastest.

Used this for my houseplants. I just leave a piece of the dunk in my watering can. I noticed a huge improvement after just a week or two of starting to use it. Will never go back to regular water!

I purchased this product after reading the many reviews regarding fungus gnats, fruit flies, or drain flies (phorid flies) in the home. I crushed one pod in a plastic sandwich bag and added the crushed crumbles to a gallon of water. After sitting over night I water my house plants and also pour some of the water into my kitchen drain. Within a day or two my house was completely rid of gnats. I intend to make this a quarterly ritual for now on. I'm so happy to final have a true remedy to the nagging pest!

I used this in a barrel that held rainwater for my garden. The rings disintegrated but got rid of the growing mosquitoes .

I have tried many things in the rain barrels and these are the best at larvae control. I have not had any plant issues using the treated water. It is nice to know I am not transplanting mosquitos to my beds and starting a new infestation somewhere else. You cannot avoid the, but you can control them in your rain barrels.

It doesn't happen instantly, but I've noticed, I don't have hardly, if any mosquitoes anymore. I'm able to sit outside now!!
