I bought this item to replace an old worn power cord for my equipmentit only got 4 stars because the wire itself is very stiff and difficult to have lay flat without a few minutes of bending and pulling other than that it fits the plug perfectly and works fine....just difficult to straighten out.... sorry

This long cable is great if the standard cable that comes with you computer is too short. It also gives you a little more slack to properly route the cable around any obstacles for the clean and organized look.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the StarTech.com 10ft Computer Power Cord. It has been a great addition to my home office setup, as it allows me to place my computer at a comfortable distance from the outlet without worrying about a short cord. Simply a computer power wire. Plugged it into the Power supply and the other end in the wall and it worked. One different feature was it is longer that those supplied with most power supplies. Obviously this may be a plus for you or a negative if you outlet/power strip is located close and the extra wire is just annoying.

Purchased this extra long power cable for my guitar pedalboard I was building so I didn't need to pack an extension chord along with it. You could use this for virtually anything that uses the same power connector. I found the cable to have a really nice feel and plenty flexible for easy coiling. The jacket is perhaps a bit thinner than some of the beefier ones I own...however for my use case its fine at this price point.
