Mission: International Friendship Ministries, Inc. , reaches out to internationals in the Columbus, Georgia/Phenix City Alabama area to serve them, to enrich their lives, to meet their various needs, and to help many find a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Vision:International Friendship Ministries provides an opportunity for the community to come together, serving and honoring the different cultures in our area. With an emphasis on hospitality and genuine concern, IFM builds bridges between the internationals and the local community, to serve them and to provide them with opportunities for spiritual growth and personal enrichment. Slogan:“Serving Internationals with the Love of Christ. ”

Results: Annually, we teach over 150 adults, children and youth English. Many have graduated and now working. Some have returned to their countries better equipped to serve. We average 40 military wives each week in Bible study hosted in local American homes enjoying great food and friendship. We have 35 families trained and equipped to serve as Friendship Partners, building friendships and giving the international families or students excellent experiences in American culture inviting them into their homes and family life. .

Target demographics: International families and students adjust to a new culture, make new friendships and learn more about American culture.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 300 persons, (some in families, others as individual students) find friendship and unconditional love and for many, a new understanding of the Christian faith and American culture.

Geographic areas served: Columbus, Georgia; Ft. Benning and Phenix City, Alabama area

Programs: Classes in English, in the Arts, Family Friendship Partners, Bible studies & retreats, events and cultural activities designed to assist each family or student to enjoy and maximize the value of their time spent in our community.
