I'm a pipefitter so I need to wear gloves for safety all day long but I have a hard time doing the fine detailed work with gloves of any kind so having my two fingers and a thumb free to do that work well keeping my hands safe is wonderful.The only issue I've run into is that overtime the gloves are getting to smell like an old cast.

These gloves fit great, feel good, absorb impact wonderfully. However day 3 of use and the glue holding rubber knuckle pads on right hand gave up and rubber fell off . Otherwise I'm impressed so far.

Got these as shooters gloves and they're perfect. Wish they had more color options bc these are better than their tactical gloves.

Besides gluing the individual pads that came lose after about 20 uses, these are great. Sadly, a number of the individual pads tore off never to be found again.

Exelente guante muy cmodo y resistente

I have several pairs of Mechanix Wear gloves...great gloves...worth the money! The Carpenters work well for when you need solid hand protection and dexterity for work.

They fell apart after 2 days

Fits is great, started falling apart within two days of light duty work. Quality materials poorly assembled....

I ordered Xlarge and received a large from what I can tell by the order site they did not come in large . So something is wrong . You need to change the description. If there is no large and you call them xlarge ? This needs fixed my husband was very disappointed!! There's two post I just noticed one says there's xl and the other there isn't. The one I chose says no large only xl . There's a mix up I believe.

I almost gave these 5 stars, except that the padding on the right glove popped free pretty much the first day of use. I have projects to do around the house, so I basically put these to work the minute I received them. Nothing matches leather for strength in my opinion, so was not surprised that these are holding up very well, and that no wood splinters got through them.The open finger design was very helpful for me since there are just some jobs that only the fingers provide the dexterity and the grip required. Basically, these protected my hands without removing the efficiency; excellent design.I would have definitely given these 5 stars if not for the padding popping off. I must point out however, this may have been due to me under sizing the gloves. I like a tight fit, so I ordered medium instead of large and had difficulty getting them on at first. Once the gloves stretched out, they were perfect, but this may be why the padding popped. It was only the one glove though, so I therefore assumed it must have been a random build quality issue.Overall, I would recommend these gloves for wood working; never had a better pair.I'd assume they'd also be good for mechanics, but have not used them for such yet.

Giving these gloves an overall rating of a 4/5. The only reason why i don't like the gloves is the same reason I like them. They're made for working in so they fit great and feel comfortable. With that being said they aren't the easiest pair of gloves to get off. Another thing is how the gloves are made on the fingers that are fingerless. Rather then stitching all the way around the finger they only stitched the back of your hand and not on the palm, and by doing that it makes it fit loose around those fingers.
