I've bought multiple other brands of almond flour. I was usually buying Nature's Eats Superfine almond flour, simply because it was the best price and locally available. I had mistakenly assumed that all almond flour would be similar if it was super-finely sifted. When I purchased this Blue Diamond flour, I saw the finely-sifted was significantly cheaper than the Blue Diamond superfine. I went ahead and tried the finely-sifted and since I still had a little of the superfine Nature's Eats left, I was able to compare the two in texture and how grainy the flours were. Both brands use blanched almonds. The only difference was how much they claimed to be ground. I was surprised to find Blue Diamond flour to be much more finely ground, light and powdery in a way that the Nature's Eats wasn't. Thus Nature's Eats ultimately had a far more grainy and gritty end product no matter what I used it in.Blue Diamond finely-sifted in the 3lb bags are a really great price compared to every other brand of almond flour. I found there was no reason to pay (so much) more money for Blue Diamond's superfine because the fine-sifted was ground so well.My only complaint is that the bag is supposed to be resealable. This brand's ziptop never seems to reseal very well at all. If that were fixed it would be great!Very pleased, would recommend!
