This thing is a beast. It'll grind off bondo like its balsa wood. I was using an air file and a 6 DA to try and get my panels straight and I was struggling to get a long wave out of a long door bottom. If you keep this moving in an x pattern it'll straighten things out quickly. Quite frankly I only needed this for less than an hour on this job but it saved me hours of struggles with lesser machines. It really already paid for itself in time saved and a better job. It takes a little getting used to and you gotta keep it moving, I actually slowed it down a little for better control, but for big long areas, the 8 width keeps things really straight.

I shouldn't complain since the Dynabrade I am used too is 4 times the price. Get what you pay for and this does do the job. It just sucks more air, vibrates more and doesn't cut as fast. Since time is money, technically the Dynabrade version, though 4 times the price, will pay for itself in a short time. This version is more for home use or the hobbyist. The way it vibrates and makes more noise bouncing around. Im guessing it will not last 1/4th the time either. But I can not review that part just yet. Overall for the price it does the job. Still I give it 3 stars to offset all the ridiculous 5 star reviews. Good example of You get what you pay for

I have a new log home that I am using this sander on and the internal counterweight snapped off and will not work. I was able to fix it but the sander as soon as it touches the wood ceases to function. what a waste of money.

This works much quicker than my Festool random orbit sander. There is no way to attach a vacuum, so I use a fan to blow the dust away from the work (and me). If you put the compressor in a separate room, it makes for very quick and very quiet sanding.
