Replaced the old o-ring which was slightly crushed and did not seal after replacing the water filter cartridge. The new one sealed the first time.

An obeying pretty much has one job, don’t leak. And these do just that. Time will tell on longevity, but they fixed a leak from an old o ring that was around 5 years old. Having a couple extras is also nice. They fit my Pentek 20inch filter great!

Would be kind of stupid to go through replacing your filters and not replacing the O rings only to find a water leak later because you didn’t.
