Causes: Homeless & Housing

Mission: Building homes in Rwanda to build wellness, stability, a future. We are improving lives, creating local jobs, and growing an Inshuti community.

Results: During seven-building seasons, we have raised almost $200,000 enabling us to build 69 houses, sheltering 75 families. In the process, we have provided local jobs with liveable wages to our masons and workers. We are an official nonprofit organization registered with the United States government and the Rwanda Government Board (RGB).

Target demographics: Inshuti of Rwanda is dedicated to providing shelter to genocide survivors as well as single-mothers and hard-working father families who are currently living in deplorable conditions due to a lack of resources.

Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2022 we sheltered 20 families, totaling 109 people.

Geographic areas served: Rubavu, Rwanda

Programs: Our organization not only builds homes but also supplies local jobs with liveable wages to our masons and workers. We use locally sourced and often sustainable materials that are environmentally friendly and also help boost the local economy.
