Results: Since 1984 we have served thousands of individuals and their families.
Target demographics: individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments, their families, caregivers and the community.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 1250
Geographic areas served: Northern Virginia
Programs: our adult day health center provides a safe, engaging, and therapeutic environment for individuals with memory impairment. It is the only dementia-specific day center in the DC metro area and still the only adult day health center in Northern Virginia with programs for people in the later stages of an Alzheimer's illness. IMCC’s innovative education and support programs provide caregiver classes, community trainings, professional seminars, support groups, individual consultations and home visits. These programs help family members remain confident and effective in their caregiving roles and increases awareness and understanding of the disease in the community.
