Been using it for Six months with no problem. High quality, easy to read, smooth operation with normal drag. My coworker has a Snap-on one and I think it is the same. Both are made in China.

I expected a cheap plastic cased instrument, instead a got a metal cased well built product that is easy to use and easy to read

Easy to read, accurate and more ergonomic than the digital one I just purchased, well built too. I find it actually works better of I extend it all the way and then push it into the tread instead of setting it on the tire and pushing it down. May buy one more of these later on.

Broke down after 2.5 years using. Impossible to set to zero.Update: I removed the plastic cover and manually set it to zero. :)

The needle is loose and moves on its own after measuring, I've been a professional technician for a decade now though so its close enough. Much better than a traditional tread depth gage, i will buy again in the future when this one wears out.

Shocking to receive an item that looks nothing like the item advertised. Please fix your icon product the yellow portion of the gauge starts at 6 vs on your advertising product picture it starts at 3. Im gonna have to be returning and looking for something else

Fantastic little tread depth gauge. Second one I ordered was not zeroed correctly. Did not realize it until it was too late to return it. Ended up indexing the gauge card to make it accurate.
