This set is awesome. I had several hex head screws that were thread locked and corroded in place on a sailboat prop that I was changing. I had tried several hardware store stripped screw extractors without success. I had used heat, penetrating oils and left cut drills without success. This set was a little pricey but it was that or take it to a “pro”. I had four screws which were stripped. I used the left drills and corresponding extractor and the screws were out in minutes. There was very little damage to the drills or extractor. The set is packaged well very straightforward and highly effective. If you need to remove stripped screws this set will work. However, don't forget to use heat and to clear off the head of the screw.

Bought this set to remove a tiny stripped hex screw on my Moen shower handle. I tried two other screw extractor sets that just spun their wheels on the metal screw. This set drilled right through the stripped hex nut. The Moen shower handle is a really poor design - it uses a soft tiny hex bolt that is easily stripped, and once it's stripped, there's no way to get it out other than drilling it out. Love this set.

This is a pretty solid set of reverse bits. They have lasted through 4 removals so far, but I can see the bits are starting to wane. I've been using three of the bits consistently. Again, time will tell, but so far so good.

This product unfortunately didn't work to remove a screw. Additionally, one of the buts broke in the process.

I snapped off a bolt in a caliper bracket due to bad torque specs in a manual. I got this set to extract the leftover of the bolt and it worked flawlessly. Helped me out tremendously.

Tried everything to extract a soft stripped screw.Liquids, dremel, rubber bands.Only thing that worked was this kit.Drill in reverse with the bit that is approximately 75 the size of the stripped screw and use the extractor that is one size bigger than the bit just used. After drilling in sufficiently deep (see picture), hammer the extractor into the screw firmly into the drilled valley until it bites.Use a wrench to grip the extractor and slowly/firmly turn it counter clockwise.Screw will eventually come loose if the extractor stays attached to it.

Received this yesterday to attempt a broken bolt repair for the sprocket retaining bolt on the output shaft of my motorcycle. Bolt sheared off and what remained was not flat, so I used a small diameter PVC pipe as a guide for drilling the hole straight and centered (bolt was broken in the recessed hole of the output shaft). I drilled to one size smaller than recommended because the hole still wasn't perfectly centered...but the extractor still worked like a charm. Thank you for this quality product!
