Hunting for tools reviews and of course good old Youtube takes me to Torque test Channel. Bought this to get a seized nut off my car and first impression was this thing is too small. But don't let that fool you. it WILL remove that stubborn brake line MOST times. You may have to fiddle for space sometimes and also work it back and forth to free the line, but this is a MUST to have in your automotive tool kit.

I'm not a mechanic, but love working on my 66 classic car - some things like brake lines and flare nuts, are a total nightmare - usually I have to heat, KROIL blast, Vice grip, the entire fiasco for any rusted nuts, or bolts of any kind. This tool with a rubber mallet and no prep handled my rusty seized brake lines instantly. They are small, just need to put on gloves and give them some soft wacks with a mallet. Does the job so well, after literally hours of trying to remove with regular vice grips. If this doesn't work, the bolt extraction kits with the impact driven claw should get it done. Having both is a must! Amazing product; must buy for your brake line repair kit!

I got these based on how much I like my older 7LW Vise-Grips, but these are so low-quality they are borderline unusable. The moveable jaw is quite loose when open, yet binds when approaching the fully-closed position. You have to clamp it on itself to get it to close fully to the position where the wire cutter would work. When clamped with reasonable force on a fastener (in this case, a 3/8 flare nut), the wrench flexes enough that damaging the fastener is a concern -- NOT damaging a fastener is the whole reason I got this wrench.Yeah, what should you expect for $12, huh?

These things are small! I liked the picture and scanned the specs, saw a dimension for 7.9 in the description and bought them. Turns out if you read and dig a bit more they are 4.9 inches long. No idea where they got the 7.9 in the bold print description but it hooked me.

This large size holds most medium sized project items you might have . All gripping edges, including teeth, are smooth which keeps holdings from being scratched. Excels with items that are round-ish shape. Tighens tightly, built well.

This is the intermediate size which limits it's use to smaller items, probably the smallest model I'll use for smooth grip (non) teeth. Built well.

the bull nose vise is a gripper.... well worth adding to tool box when you need the steady grab or lock down on a bolt.... there is something about the grip of the flat face .... really works well...

These are the 4LV's. They are designed for smaller nuts and line nuts. They work fine but are very small to be able to get any leverage on if it's really stuck.

These vise grips do a great job on cylinders with least amount of marring versus channel locks or pipe wrenches.
