Old rusted Subaru brake lines were rusted. Bolts rusted and rounded off. This little thing grabbed and with some muscle got the job done. Life Saver

Nearly stripped by brake line nuts even using a flare nut wrench and some heat and penetrating oil. Did what it was supposed to, very quickly and easily. I wish I could find other uses for it but seems that my regular channel locks do just about everything else.

I ran into the dreaded frozen brake fitting on a 1977 Datsun 4 decades ago. Since then, I'v spent many hours breaking them off, breaking off easy outs, setting calipers on fire, drilling into the caliper off axis and replacing it. I'd been dreading having to replace the brake lines on an old Ranger, and someone suggested I try this tool. I sprayed the fitting with Kroil, clamped this on, and it turned the rusted fitting out in under a minute. Don't let the small size fool you. Its tiny so you can fit it into small spaces like surround most brake fittings. It has enough leverage to turn what was often a all day job into cakewalk. This is an awesome tool.

The Vise Grip 10LW is the single tool I would carry on a tractor if I was limited to just one. No toolbox needed. Just clamp it on something round or hex shaped. It clamps securely on all round or hex shapes from 5/8 to 1-5/8 inch without marring, and will deliver extremely high torque to hex fasteners without slipping. Hold chisels or punches to keep your hand safe. Clamp it on a big bolt to make a hammer. Establish a temporary collar anyplace on a shaft without marring. Provide a steady rest point for something unwieldy that you must carry. Use the serrated tip of the jaw for small stuff. No worker on mechanics should be without one - even if youre not limited to one tool. ;)

I had to run all new brake lines on a 2008 Nissan Xterra. I used a standard vise grips and a torch to get all the stuck tube nuts off. That worked for all but three, where I could not use the torch. This wrench broke them all free on the first try, and saved me a lot of time. I only wish I would have known about this tool before I spent all that time removing the other ones with a torch and standard vise grips. I would highly recommend this for any brake job.

This small tool will grip a nut without rounding off the edges. That's very convenient when you must hold a bolt in place while screwing another bolt. It's simple, but works great.

These are vice grips that will grip 3 flat sides of a hex bolt. If you manage to have one that rounds over or is particularly stubborn, latch this bad boy on it and it will either shear the bolt or unscrew. Super handy for brake line or bleeder valves that are brass and can be easily rounded by wrenches.

These vise grip pliers arrived amazingly quickly all the way to New Zealand. I have not yet used them for their intended purpose - removal of soft brass brake line nuts, but I believe that they will work well.I would highly recommend this supplier.I can't rate their sturdiness yet.
