These sockets worked great. Had a couple rusty, rounded exhaust header bolts that needed removing. Took out one of the 14mm bolts almost instantly using this product. The other bolt was a little harder to remove, but I was able to hammer the included 14mm socket on and then put my wrench in to break it loose. Absolutely amazing performance from these sockets.

I had a bolt that would not come off because of it being rusty. I purchased Irwin tool bolt grip deep well and in about 2 min the bolt with some penetrating spray come off. Very good product. I will recommend to my friends that live in northern Central of the USA.

I used this to remove a frozen lug nut on my daughter's jeep. Some idiot had put the lugs on with an airgun. I was able to get the others off by standing and bouncing on a breaker bar, but not this one. I snapped three sockets and adapters on it. My tire guys couldn't even get it off with his airgun.
When I first got this socket, I discovered that the drive size for the socket is only 3/8". I was using a half inch breaker bar, so I had to use an adapter on the socket. The adapter snapped off right away. Because the socket has a hexagonal end, I decided to try putting a giant wrench on the end. However, it dawned on me that I could just put a large 1/2" drive socket over the hex. Then, using my breaker bar and a length of pipe, I was able to unscrew the lug nut.
I gave this socket 4 out of 5 stars because, to break loose frozen nuts, it really should have a 1/2" drive instead of a 3/8". The curved interior lobes held well enough when driven on with a hammer. They destroyed the lug nut, but what can you expect.

Exactly what I needed to remove a stripped spark plug out of my 2006 Ford F150. Don't know what I would've done with out these tools.

My stuck lug nut happened at home; but what if it had been on the road? This product worked perfectly. My lug nut was so stuck that I had to pull the wrench with a tow strap pulled by another car. But then it came free in an instant. Thank you for a well made product!

Has to be 5 stars because the product did exactly what it was advertised to do!

I was dealing with a rounded out sparkplug on a Durango V8 and really didn't want to break the ceramic top and try to use an easy out as I have seen in some videos of others in my predicament. I had looked at Grip-Tite first, but was concerned about the plastic bit breaking and noticed many ordered this product when the Gip-Tite had failed.

I will say need to put plenty of downward pressure and ensure you are square on the nut. I had two attempts where I was not being careful enough to do this and it slipped. However, go slow, press firmly and it will bite. When it does it's game over for the nut, screw or sparkplug!

So I tried to use these on the bolts for removing F-150 manifold. I had several different types since I had about 4 or 5 bolts that broke off when trying to remove. I had high expectation on these due to reviews. I probably did not give these as much time as they needed to work. They did not seem to have as much surface area that was needed on the really tough bolts. On the ones that came out easy, these work great. Due to other reviews, I really had very high expectations and they did not meet those expectations. I am sure will use these in other applications but for the 'deep well' I was hoping for better results.

I cant say enough about how great the IRWIN extractors are! These saved me a $700 head and $2000 Kawasaki engine. Stripped 2 bolts that hold the head to the cases. Would have been a ruined engine. Get these, if you work on rebuilding engines, I am sure, these will save you many times.
