My old style Irwin Speedbor set was stolen I just used this new style set for the first time I had to run some 122 romex through a sheer wall that had several 6x6 posts within it I didnt have a heavy angle drill and bits on the truck The 916 bit blew through the 6x6 with ease driven by an 18 volt Ryobi drill It wasnt quite long enough to make it through so I put a 1 inch bit in and counterbored the 916 hole about an inch then used an extension to break through These new design flat bore bits are very capable and a vast improvement over the old style ones Nice bit organizer as well Great price performance value

Just as described Im an electrician I drop a ton of holes for various wire and pipe sizes These are handy to have They are sharp and are staying sharp pretty well

Well the price is good for what you get However the “case” is crap I just thought this was a roll-up case It is NOT The bits are held into place inside the book like case very poorly by plastic snap in holders The case once closed doesn’t keep the bits from falling out if the case has s dropped The Velcro to close the case also doesn’t even lineup very poor design If the case is kept inside a drawer it’s perfect If you’ll be transporting this to job sites better get a different case Anyway the bits should perform fine especially for the price Erwin your case sucks Sorry

Irwin makes a big deal out of the blue groove Pic is after 1 hole through 12 MDFBut who cares about cosmetics? How do they work? Answer is: fast smooth clean holes just as promised As with any Irwin product ive purchased the quality is too notch USA made or otherwise The case is solid the bits are nicely engraved on both sides and Im sure theyll hold up to plenty of use For drilling fast and clean through holes pick these
