Great sturdy spatter screen that limits spatter on our cooktop. Certainly not as flimsy as the last one we owned. Keep the little support bars face up when you cook!

This item, while sturdy enough for what I use it for, sustains burn marks very easily. Super easy, in fact. Also, once it has heat damage of any kind, you cannot wash it off, it's there for life, unless you use it for nothing more than steam-related cooking or tiny items like cooking eggs. Disappointed, because I had high hopes for this item.

I bought this to replace an older splatter screen that had begun to rust...and didn't really work all that well. Once I used this screen, I realized just how bad the old one was! I like to sear meats in my 12 cast upon pan, which can be messy and dangerous when you get hit with hot grease splatters. This new screen covers the entire pan and keeps all the grease in the pan. The steam escapes, which us exactly what you need when you are searing. It cleaned up very easily with dish soap and water. I definitely recommend this product!

Just received this about a week ago (July 22- ish) and when I used it for burgers I was frying I could still feel some splatter. That was disappointing but maybe it prevented more from coming through the screen. It's a sturdy tool and will last a while so that is the benefit.

I bought this splatter screen to keep the oil from splashing all over the stove top. It works very well for that, but it has also protected me from getting burnt. I have reached across it to turn the heat down and have not experienced any hot oil splashing up on my arm. And even more important, I have used it by holding it in front of my face as a shield when I am turning meat in the frying pan. Several times before having the screen, I have had hot oil fly out the pan and just miss my eye. I am very happy with my purchase as far as clean-up and safety.

We bought the 13 inch for our 12 inch cast iron and it does fit quite perfectly. The finer grease droplets still escape and leaves a small amount of residue on the stove but that's just inevitable because it still has to breathe. Overall though no complaints as it's a definite upgrade from our old pos splatter guard. I don't see this lasting a lifetime but with the warranty I can't complain.

I've only used it once, so I can not give a 100 review; however, I purchased this in hopes of keeping the surface of my cookstove cleaner while I am cooking. It worked well when I used it. The only thing I didn't like it that you have your pan handle and the handle from this which if not careful you can lose your whole dish. It would be nice if they made a handle that laid well over the pan handle.

I have bought 2 others at other places online and they have been nowhere as durable as this one. These do not need to be durable as they are just to put on top of splattering pots and pans. The ones in the past would just pull away from outer ring with easy use.

I like to cook and use cast iron regularly on the stove top. Bacon, steaks, and plenty of things that splatter. Cleans up easily in the dishwasher. So glad I have two!

I replaced my old torn splatter screen with this one. I'm very impressed. My stove top stays cleaner while I'm frying. The mesh is tight enough to keep the fat from popping out of the pan, but open enough for frying.It's sturdy and well-constructed, and I like that it has the feet to keep it off the counter when not in use - just follow the directions and make sure the solid mesh is down toward the food.It can be used as a strainer as well. That will come in handy after washing fruits and veggies.I just bought one to try for myself, but I'll be purchasing a different size and adding some for gifts as well.
