Save your money! This is total garbage. I bought this because I wanted a splatter guard for stove top cooking. The first time I used it, within just a couple of minutes, the heat from cooking, burnt several areas of the mesh and turned them black and purple. This is the sign of cheap metal and poor quality construction.Any good splatter guard should be able to withstand at least 400-500F temps without burning or discoloring.I threw this in the trash before my meal even finished cooking. This was a waste my money and time buying it.

Basically this works as intended without the quality shortfalls you fear when buying an unknown product. Although I have only used it a short time as I get into frying lots of bacon, it looks like it will last years. The efficiency seems to be 95 of grease being stopped while it is down, but of course you must lift it to turn or otherwise manipulate the frying food. Definitely worth the price.

Used once. Look at the heat issue. First time I washed it I ended up bleeding. One of the strands of wire was sticking up. Look further for a good splatter screen.

This monster fits my biggest frying pans, and the little loops built into the frame keep it from sliding around as I shake up whatever I've got cooking.

So far so good, bit it appears that this splatter screen will provide years of satisfaction. I'll probably buy another one specifically for when I make salsa.

It's pretty disappointing that each time we've used it (several months now) it has not caught much of the grease/food splatter at all. It's almost pointless. I really don't notice a difference with it or without it. It's easy to clean and it's sturdy but it's just really not effective/ helpful like I had hoped.

Didn't even know this type of thing existed and now can't cook without it! It's super handy in keeping the stove top cleaner than it would without it. Of course, splatters occur, but this drastically reduces them. It's easy enough to clean but does discolor when used often (which we do). But that's what we expected when using something directly on heat! A nice purchase for the price.

I needed a smaller sized splatter screen, so I hit the local Ace store, and bought a 3 piece set to get the smaller size. Bad mistake as the set was flimsy junk- I cussed myself for making a bad decision. I decided to try it and grease splattered onto the range as though no screen. Worthless!So, I searched for the best I could buy, and came across and bought this screen. WOW! Hardly any splattered grease gets through. It is well made, sturdy, definitely the best I have ever had. Highly recommend.
