We were looking for a hitch style vice that we could mount between the trailer and the truck. This allows us to remove the vice and stored away when not in use.

I bought this to remove impellers from jet pumps on jet skies. Not a tough job on a bench vice at the shop. I'm order to remove an impeller you need to clamp the sub shaft that is double flat sided into a vise in order to spin off an impeller at about 100ft lbs of torque. This vise no matter how tight o would get it the shaft would flex the vise like nothing allowing it so spin and unable to loosen the impeller. Also the other is is the handle is fixed so if your tightening something that's in the way of the handle coming around to the top you can't tighten it. Not a great design, looks good but not great function

This is a great product! I can use it my work bench and take it with me to use anywhere! It fits into my 2 receiver hitch. It is solid and strong. I am not afraid to use it or lean on it! So versatile !

Very great vise, I use mine on my truck hitch while working on everything in any situation. The only thing is that the handle is stationary, not a problem or issue for me tho. Highly recommend this vise. And it's a Wilton!

Works well! I bought it a year ago and glad I did as the price went up $100 since. I keep it in my van and have it mounted to a flat 2x6 so I can slide it out when I need it.

Mounted this vise on my flat bed truck at first glance looks well made,at first handling feels pretty hefty I mounted the receiver mount to the truck and slid the vise in and pinned it would have gave it 5 stars but the shank on the vise is sloppy in the receiver but I would recommend this vise excellent product

Sometimes you need a vise and don't have your work bench near by. I don't feel it's the quality of the more spendy Wilton vise's we put on our work trucks, but to have it at home to put in the 4runner hitch is great.

A great portable vise. I have used it in my truck and a custom mount that i built for my bench. works well. I have clamped and bent steel, ground and cut with saws. Solid. I love the portable idea. one vise goes everywhere

This thing is a beast. An incredible vice. Strong and study. I have it bench mounted in my tool shed. When I take my tractor out into the woods to clear some timber, I put this on the receiver and am ready for a quick and easy sharpening of any chainsaw. It works perfectly for my needs, and I could not be happier with my purchase, other than the fact that I could have easily gone with a five inch vice and been maybe a tad bit happier only just because it would have been a little lighter. If you need a dual, or multi-purpose vice, buy it, you'll be very pleased!

If you know how banging your shin on a trailer hitch with a ball can ruin your day, just wait till this bad boy digs in and has your grown ass crying for your mommy in the middle of a driveway. This bone destroying shin splitter is a great value as it also doubles as a really convenient and solid vice or penny smasher.

It seems to be pretty well made. I read some reviews that mentioned it had some play in it when tightening it down. It worked just fine for me and was very smooth. One review noted it had play when mounted to the hitch. It had about the same amount of play as when I have my Reese trailer hitch ball mounted so I'm satisfied. I think the idea and design to mount at the hitch unit is unique.

Love the fact I can remove and put in body to keep out of the weather or keep from getting stolen.Dislike how loose it is on the receiver. I mounted this at a 45 angle to the body for loads of room. Works awesome on my small welding truck!

We RV extensively during the summer and this is very easy to slip into the pick up bed when we take off. Only used once on the road, to assist another RV'er. Works great in the garage. Have used it to sharpen lawn mower and chain saw blades. Holds everything in place. Was easy to set up and install. So far, no rust is forming on the product. Would recommend this to anyone who needs something for the road and at home.

Wilton should be ashamed to have put their name on this. I loved the idea of moving a vice to my hitch in my work van. It's unusable after the first jet pump I rebuilt. I'm not putting a breaker bar on the handle or using it out of it's duty range. This product is garbage, I'll never buy another Wilton product.
