Mission: Our mission is providing service dogs to military veterans and first responders in need regardless of ability to pay.
Results: Javelan has funded the training of 34 service dog teams (handler/dog) in the Greater Omaha Area since our founding in February 2017.
Target demographics: Military Veterans and First Responders
Direct beneficiaries per year: Calendar year 2018 had over 50 applicants apply through the Javelan Program.
Geographic areas served: The Greater Omaha/Council Bluffs area.
Programs: Funding for service dog training, focusing primarily on PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Diabetes, Seizures, missing or damaged limbs and other recognized disabilities.
