Programs: The Jewish Federation leads a strong Jewish Puget Sound by serving as a community voice, strengthening connections to Israel and World Jewry, and making investments in Jewish life, for today and the next generation. The Federation’s work is made possible by generous supporters and volunteers. The Federation serves as a community voice through advocacy, giving Jewish organizations access to SAFE Washington security communications and preparedness resources, serving as a community convener, and telling Jewish Puget Sound’s stories in the award-winning Jewish In Seattle magazine. The Federation strengthens ties between our local community and Jewish communities around the world. We help Jewish families in need in Israel and overseas. We enable people to make personal connections to Israel by sponsoring extended visits to our community by Israeli emissaries, providing financial support for teens and young adults to experience Israel, and sponsoring Israel-themed community events. The Federation is investing in Jewish life, for today and the next generation. We support children’s formative Jewish experiences at day schools and Jewish camp, create on-ramps to Jewish life that meet people where they are, train community leaders, carry out community research, help Jewish organizations build endowments, and manage endowments that are a significant source of funding for Jewish programs and services.
