Let me start off saying I'm 60 yrs old. I've tried several different mufflers on my 2012 Ram 5.7 hemi looking for one that would eliminate most of the drone when the MDS kicks in. I've done several reviews on different mufflers. My first was the Carven...way too loud for me, mega-drone. The next was a Totalflow...little better but still not what I wanted. Then I tried a Magnaflow...still not there. The common denominator here is they are all short, small body mufflers. Then I stumbled across KN. Who knew they made mufflers. If you're looking for loud, this is not for you. What amazed me is it's still a full flow muffler. It's as big as your stock muffler, but no where near the weight. I think the large capacity of the muffler housing is what is absorbing most all the sound waves that was causing the drone. Don't get me wrong, when you accelerate, you can definitely hear the exhaust note. Then it levels out and suits my taste in the way of what I was looking for. As always, harder to get the old one off, but the new one goes on easy. Make sure you torque the exhaust bolts to the correct specs and line up your tail pipes.

It was a very easy install. There is definitely a better sound on acceleration coming from underneath the hood. Fuel mileage seems to have improved 1.6 better on MPG according to an actual mileage count (not what the dash says). This bolt on along with a Superchip Flashpaq F5 has really woke the 5.7L Hemi Ram up. Very satisfied.

KN Worth every dollar .. not the cheapest but good gear, perfect fit

After I received the item I did an inventory and discovered there was a part missing from the kid. i called KN and they immediately sent out the missing part. Great service.

Engine seems to be much cooler. I have other mods, if you don't know your truck you won't be able to tell the difference. The only thing I didn't like was the support of the air filter holster with 2 points secure but nothing for the bottom. It vibrats, noticeable when hitting bumps. I have to Macguyver for it.

Couldn't come up with a metal 90 degree hose barb when the kit is almost $500?? Everything was going great on the install until the hose barb 90 snapped off as I was hand tightening. Now to find a replacement last moment is almost impossible. Definitely not happy at the moment.

Got on my doorstep this morning !!! Took about 90 mins to install as they say. Woke this hemi right up first performance mod I have done to new truck about 3000 miles on her Definate noticable performance in pick up and sound !!! Truck feels like its 1000 lbs lighter of the line Highway acceleration is also boosted. Sounds great too still have factory exhaust but plan to put Carven proggressive on next week Definately not dissapointed !!!

Truck sounds better under the hood, and the from the exhaust. Throttle response is livelier making it more enjoyable to drive. Can't wait to feel it when pushing snow and towing.

With the fitting of the filter and extras, KN basically made it a direct fit product. Very easy to install. Watch the YouTube video first. Note: factory breather valve hose doesn’t require mods, just replace it with the one sent to you in the kit. Bit pricy, but worth it.

Installation was relatively easy except I snapped off the 90-degree fitting inside the hose. I didn't think I was pressing that hard (hand tight) but also not really going to fault the company for it. This product and a tune really woke up the truck coming from a dig.

I will update in the near future, but install was a breeze for my buddy and I. It was almost too easy for the both of us to be needed, but thats not a complaint. I could barely tell a difference from stock the 1st time sitting at idle, but put some rpms into it and it wakes right the heck up!! I immediately thought to my self that my Ram sounded like an R/T Challenger and coupled with my throttle response unit, it's as if the truck is new again. I literally asked my wife if there's anything at the store we could go buy, just so I had an excuse to take her out for a ride. She won't admit she likes it too, but the little smile I caught from her tells me all I needed to know

This is a direct fit for a stock muffler. But it is not a stock muffler. It has a very nice ans smooth tone to it that gets better as you step on the throttle. I have also noticed more power in the 3-5000 rpm range. Thats when you hear that nice rumble get louder. It does come with 3 clamps, but no piping. You have to buy any pipes seperately.

Easy to put together. Could hear and feel the difference in the engine. Very pleased!

arrived with missing parts. couldn't even install it

Ordered it from a local store and got it with 2 missing bolts, and a missing hose coupler that connects to the throttle body. Very disappointed with the QC. I expected more from KN, and I am regretting the purchase. Reached out to KN, and haven't heard anything from them. Should have gone with AFE, which I've had before.

It's literally missing all the nuts and bolts and instructions

Didn't come with any instructions so I had to go on YouTube to see how to install it. Then I find out it didn't come with all the parts required. Had to go out and buy those since it didn't come with it. Very disappointed.

Fits my 2019 classic 5.7 hemi perfectly and gives the truck a whole new feel.
