Leaves a great trail of stripes behind your mower if you fill it with the sand it requires. Quite easy to maneuver around. Instructions were subpar in being almost unreadable. The plug on the roller fits and stays in, but due to a defect on the opening of mine the plug has a tendency to fall in if you push too hard. Overall satisfied

Highly recommend this kit if you want to make your lawn pop and get all the dads in the neighborhood to come and ask you what you did to your lawn. Telling ya, I get compliments all the time!

Exactly what I was looking for! Set up took a little while to get the angle and height right of the roller arms but once you get it set you never have to do it again. Perfect stripes even in a not perfect lawn- stilly battling summer brown spots and fungus but overall this roller is exactly what I was hoping for.

Really loved the lawn striper but the is made of plastic and the o ring cracked after about 2 months of use. Tried to have it replaced, Toro was not the least interested in helping. Just threw it away. Found another manufacturer that's used a metal o ring - bought it, no issues

Install took about 20 minutes, not including the time to run to the hardware store to get longer (1.25) phillips screws, as I have a Honda mower. The two center bolts were fine.As many others have stated, use a funnel and DRY sand. I had about 1/3 dry sand, and the remaining sand took much longer; total maybe 10 minutes to fill completely, using a screw driver to poke the wet sand through the funnel. I was able to get about 15 lbs in, will top it off in a few weeks. Finally, use a 11/16 socket on the red plug; much easier compared to a screw driver.I always mow at 3; mostly bluegrass, fescue and rye. This left nice stripes, especially the areas not drying out. I mow a border 2x before putting the roller on...much easier, as I'm not backing up much at that point. Turning 180 with the roller on was very easy. I did notice the extra weight, as the mower slowed a bit....but hardly enough to complain about.Also, I'm able to still use the bag without issues. I installed the roller giving about 1/2 clearance between the roller bar and the plastic chute cover. When I mow the border, I generally bag the grass around mulch beds.Very happy with this...wish I got it years ago!

Pretty impressed for first cut. Very defined but also time-consuming if you do it right. This was double spaced with single stripe. I would say for about $120 it's worth it if you are looking for that Stand Out feature. :)

I love my Toro lawn striper. I recommend putting quikrete concrete inside of the roller instead of sand because it's heavier so your lines will pop more. Use a funnel and pour in the quikrete. Do not add water. Fill up the plastic roller to the top and enjoy making lines!
