Target demographics: decrease homelessness and animal cruelty.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 243 dogs with veterinary care, behavioral training and stimulation, in preparation for their forever home. In addition, we financially assisted over 80 community residence to help with dog food, spay/neutering and vaccinations.

Geographic areas served: re-homing and reuniting lost, stray. abandoned and surrendered dogs

Programs: The Shelter Program: This program provides 24 hour shelter services to the Town of Wickenburg and the surrounding communities, for lost, stray, or abandoned dogs through the Wickenburg Police Department. During the shelter stay, each dog receives shelter, food, water, nurturing, medical, and one-on-one loving care, Also, each dog is behaviorally evaluated for special needs to assist in proper care. The shelter program also allows for community surrendering on a case-to-case basis depending on evaluation and available space. Adoption Program: Once a dog has received all necessary medical and/or behavioral rehabilitation, he/she can attend adoption events and their forever home can be obtained. The adoption process allows for a week of fostering to determine suitability to the family and home. Heath and Wellness Program: This program provides food and medical services for low income families to help prevent them from losing their dogs and to keep the pets healthy.
