These hinges are relatively sturdy and quiet, and do a good job of not sagging, although this may make them a bit more stiff than I'd prefer. They have a good finish on them, although you only see the sides on occasion when the rack is extended. In all, it makes for a great way to store your knives!The down side to these is that because the top flange folds inwards, the screw holes are blocked when in the stowed position, making install a complete pain. If they were folded the other way, you could simply attach the rack you want to mount to the bottom flange, lift it under the cabinet where you want it, and screw the top flange into the cabinet-- simple. But because the flanges point inward, you either have to make a jig to mark and line up the holes, or spend time dry fitting, disassembling, measuring, marking, and re-assembling your rack, hoping you didn't miss a hole. Lining up the two arm to be parallel is important, as any binds or twists make the hinge action pretty poor or wobbly, so this simple design tweak would be a huge improvement.
