camp good mourning is a three-day overnight summer camp for children grieving the death of a parent or sibling. This annual gathering brings grieving kids together in a traditional camp setting to enjoy activities, friendship and to learn how to deal with their grief in a positive way. Children participate in fun camp activities like swimming, rock climbing, paddle boating and archery as well as therapeutic grief support activities. There are two camp-wide memory activities and a camp carnival. Each year, kates club sees significant growth in this program. In 2017, a record number of 240 children and teens attended. Because camp good mourning is, by design, a mix of veteran and recent kates club members, and because of the strong organic growth that we are experiencing as an organization, the kates club board of directors has prioritized this continued growth of camp.

kc connects encompasses a range of grief awareness and support services provided to the larger community beyond the clubhouse walls. Through local partnerships, we have offered grief support groups in metro-area schools. We have also offered training to a variety of child-serving organizations to enable them to better support children coping with grief in their settings. Kc connects includes grief awareness day, an initiative in which kate's club reaches out to the broader local and national community to bring awareness to the issue of childhood bereavement. In 2017,638 children and 670 adult professionals participated in kc connects programs.
