Causes: Environment, Environmental Beautification

Mission: Keep omaha beautifuls mission is to foster environmental and community stewardship through education, service, and advocacy.

Programs: Keep omaha beautifuls programs and outreach events focus on environmental education, community beautification, and waste & pollution prevention. A total of 6,070 volunteers assisted with keep omaha beautifuls programs in 2017, equating to 15,321 hours of service to the community. Volunteers completed 423 litter cleanups of public areas. More than 5,000 bags of litter were collected. In 2017, keep omaha beautiful staff also conducted environmental education activities and service learning projects with 9,979 youth and adults from the omaha community. In addition, the organization helped the city of omaha divert 1,448 tons of bulky material for proper disposal and recycling via omaha spring cleanup, collected and recycled 8.3 tons of license plates, expanded the number of glass recycling drop-off sites, and started revitalizating city-owned vacant lots.
