WOW! A big white milk carton type container of Sprinkles arrive on my doorstep. Upon arrival, I quickly poured the sprinkles into smaller airtight containers. There was so much, I shared it among my baking friends and family who were all thrilled to get sprinkles! The value is there, especially when you are paying $3-5 for a tiny glass container of Sprinkles. If you bake large quantities, you would easily spend over $30 in sprinkles. If you bake in bulk, this is the way to go.I am a chocolate sprinkles fan, mostly on donuts. Sprinkles usually taste waxy, too sweet, or have no flavor. It would just provided a crunch with my donuts. This product had some things I liked, but could be improved. I will start with the likes - not waxy, consistent product in the 6 pounds- there were no weird shapes. Taste had the right sweetness, as most of the time it is coupled with sweet frosting - so you don't want it to be so sweet your teeth ache. The best part was the chocolate flavor! It tasted like chocolate and won't leave your mouth with a waxy feel. You can taste that it was chocolate - a big plus. Most sprinkles in the market look great, but all you can taste is sugar. This was not the case. So kudos, for making the chocolate sprinkles taste like chocolate! The improvements: consistency in the sprinkle was powdery. This did not go away when we tried it on ice cream or items with more cream in it, frosting, etc. So this could be improved. Otherwise, it was yummy.Overall, it was a good bulk product. If you are looking to bake and make things in mass quantities, it would be good to use. However, if you sprinkle it on your toast with a chocolate hazelnut spread - you can taste the powder.Buy it or not? Yes, if you want to taste chocolate flavor and can overlook the powdery feel. I actually would prefer this over waxy, too sweet, and no chocolate flavor. Happy baking and Chocolate Sprinkle day!
