Mission: The king street center's mission

Programs: Early education - a "vermont five-star" preschool program for children ages eighteen months to five years. The organization's play-based program fosters children's development in the areas of literacy, creative arts, math and science, physical health, language development, social and emotional growth, and approaches to learning.

after school - a large and diverse program, "afterschool excellence" serves children in grades k through 5 and includes homework help, technology education, athletics and the arts. King street is also home to one of the largest mentoring programs in the state where children are matched one-on-one with caring adults in the community.

teen drop-in & teen futures - xdrop-in" provides a safe and welcoming place where teens meet in the evening to do homework, use a computer or play sports with friends.
